Being active and spending time outdoors is proven to improve mood and sleep, while also reducing stress, anxiety and depression. To help boost the motivation that’s sometimes needed to get going, we are launching a CTM quest to get our CTM population moving the equivalent of Merthyr to Bridgend (75,000 steps/movements) over a three week period (10 – 31 January). You will be able to sign up to our health and wellbeing quest from Friday 10 January.
The quest is open to all members of the local community and the weekly movement target is 25,000 steps.

Step 3: Complete
Each week, once you’ve achieved 25,000 steps or movements, you’ll be entered into a health and wellbeing raffle through randomised selection and you will receive a message via the Getfit Wales app if you have won a prize.
Winners will also be announced on the CTM and Getfit Wales social media accounts.
Prizes
Each week, there will be two raffles where winners will have the option to choose a health and wellbeing reward that best suits their needs and location. Prizes include a £10 voucher that can be spent on health and wellbeing items at local fruit and veg shops, butchers, or as an online voucher for healthy produce at your local supermarket – see voucher for details and restrictions.
Alternatively, winners can select a leisure pass for their local leisure centre. Please note the leisure centre pass cannot be used for fitness classes.
As this initiative focuses on health and wellbeing, certain restrictions will apply. The Getfit Wales team will contact winners with more information on how to claim their rewards.
Quest rules
The quest is designed to be fun and help people to be active, but we want to make sure it’s fair for everyone so have created a few rules around the quest.
You must have a local CTM address to sign up.
Each participant can win the raffle (£10 voucher or leisure pass) only once. If you have already won in a previous week, you will not be eligible to win it again.
The health board wishes to thank Getfit Wales for their partnership support around this exciting physical wellbeing challenge.
