Wales Safeguarding Week 2024 (11-15 November)

Cwm Taf Morgwannwg University Health Board is marking this year’s Wales National Safeguarding Week,an annual campaign that aims to raise awareness and provide training on safeguarding issues. This year’s theme is ‘Safe Space’.

Safeguarding is a fundamental responsibility in healthcare, essential for protecting vulnerable individuals from harm, abuse, and neglect.

It involves both the protection of children and adults at risk from abuse, neglect or other kinds of harm and preventing them from becoming at risk of abuse, neglect or other kinds of harm.

The Wales Safeguarding Procedures detail the essential roles and responsibilities for practitioners to ensure they safeguard children and adults from abuse.

Cwm Taf Morgannwg UHB aims to create a safe, supportive environment where all individuals receive the highest standard of care and protection.

This year, our Safeguarding Team is working with partners to run and promote a week-long programme of activities for staff and members of our communities including parents and carers, children and young people:
